Biometric registration is mandatory for all four dhams and is done online at registrationandtouristcare.uk.gov.in before you travel, or in person at registration counters in Haridwar and Rishikesh. What vehicle is best for hill routes in Uttarakhand?

A Sedan is comfortable for well-paved routes like Dehradun–Mussoorie or Dehradun–Rishikesh. For narrower, higher-altitude routes — Kedarnath (Gaurikund), Badrinath, Chopta, or any Char Dham leg — an SUV (Innova Crysta) is strongly recommended for its ground clearance and stability on switchbacks, and is what our drivers default to for these routes.

Are Uttarakhand roads safe to drive during monsoon season (July–August)?
